The Military Officers Association of America Cape Canaveral Chapter (MOAACC) is an affiliate of the national Military Officers Association of America.  The mission of the Chapter is to promote the aims of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).  We advocate for national and state legislative actions that protect the rights and interests of veterans, uniformed services retirees, and active duty personnel (including all dependents and survivors of the same).

Together, we are a powerful legislative voice advocating for the best interests of current and former uniformed services members of all ranks as well as the best interest of the nation.

MOAA National, the various State Councils and their affiliate chapters, including the Military Officers Association of America, Cape Canaveral (MOAACC), are all nonpartisan organizations.

Program: MOAACC 2017 Scholarship Awards

The July luncheon is one of the highlights of the year for MOAACC, because the July luncheon is when the MOAACC Scholarship Corporation awards the MOAACC Scholarships for the year!

Each year beginning in 1984, The Cape Canaveral Chapter of The Military Officers Association of America has awarded Scholarship grants to descendants and wards of active duty or retired members of the Uniformed Services of the United States (includes Regular, National Guard or Reserve enlisted and of￾ficers of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, NOAA or USPHS).

The awardees are young men and women who are full time college students, juniors or seniors or in graduate programs, who are descendants of cur￾rently serving active duty or retired service members, or descendants of deceased service members who died while on active duty or on retired status; many are descendants from current or deceased MOAACC members.

Each year the Scholarship Se￾lection Committee, currently led by CAPT Ernest Joy, USN Ret, selects the winners from dozens of applicants - see the 2018 List of Awardees in the center section of next month's The Intercom.

Come Join us for this very special luncheon. The luncheon will be held at Colony Hall at IRCC. The cost is $16 per person for both the Regular lunch and the Light lunch – see details on page 16.
