Each year beginning in 1984, The Cape Canaveral Chapter of The
Military Officers Association of America has awarded Scholarship grants to descendants
and wards of active duty or retired members of the Uniformed Services of the United States
(includes Regular, National Guard or Reserve enlisted and officers of the Army, Navy, Air Force,
Marine Corps, Coast Guard, NOAA or USPHS). The quantity and value of the scholarships vary from
year to year. In 2007, we awarded 12 scholarships worth $3,500 each.
The Scholarship Selection Committee accepts applications starting on 1 January of each year.
The deadline for submission of applications is 15 June. Late applications will not be accepted! Please do not wait for the last minute to send us your aplication for a scholarship. We need to know who
is applying. So, help us out. Send us your preliminary application early. You can add to it later and then
resend it to us. This will help our administrative process. The application process is electronic. There are 4 forms to download. The
Student Checklist is the first form you should open and read. It will provide instructions
for completing the process.
