The Good Deeds Fund was created to collect money for worthwhile causes at one time during October and November rather than pass the hat every meeting. The bulk of the money collected goes to the PAFB Operation Warm Heart Fund, Patrick Pantry and Patrick Community Fund. Over the years amounts have been earmarked for the Gen. Patrick portrait painter, Honor America's expansion, a new JROTC unit, the 9/11 fund, Brevard Veterans Council Homeless Veterans Shelter, a school rehab in Afghanistan and some Santa photos at an Elementary School. The Board of Directors determines the recipients but members are encouraged to suggest worthy causes.
